Jordan PTSA is excited to bring the Reflections program to our students.

Reflections is a nationwide program offered by the national PTA that provides an avenue for creative expression for students K-12 in areas such as dance choreography, film production, literature, music composition, photography, and visual arts. Every year there is a different theme which is also selected from submissions from student participants as well.

* You don't need to be a member to participate. However, if you want to win prizes and get recognition for your artwork please become a member.

The theme for the current year 2020-21 is

 " I matter Because........"

Since its creation back in 1969 by the  Colorado PTA President Mary Lou Anderson at the time, Reflections has become a very popular program with well over 200,000 students participating annually. Although It is a competition and student work can progress and get recognition at the national level, the main focus of the program is to encourage students to express themselves, feel empowered and tell their own unique stories.

Students of all ages and ability levels can participate. Jordan PTSA will acknowledge every participant by displaying and sharing their work on our website and at the school (if COVID restrictions permit). Positive recognition for all participants is the goal of this program. However, if your creation makes the cut we will forward it to our local Katy Council of PTAs to be considered for moving it up to a regional competition.

Check out How to Participate buttons on this page and keep checking this page for information about how and where to drop off entries.
